Why do the blog posts feel so rough?

Organic You might be here and asking me - why do my blog posts feel so bodgy, put-together, or rushed? The simple answer is organic growth. The problems with most projects is that people rush into the idea with everything they have or they don’t consistently work on it. I’m trying to resolve both through just writing and doing whatever I want in this space. If structure is created over time, that’s okay.…

Random bits of the day 04/26/2024

Weird dream I had a weird dream last night where I became an archaeologist and got a trowel. Then I apparently stabbed someone with said trowel at some point. Don’t know, maybe I’ve been delving waaaaay too deep in the topic now 😅 Brewing a cappuccino Turns out I’ve been brewing a double shot of espresso in my cappuccino this whole time and foaming milk too much, which has been ruining my milk foam art pours.…

End of Day Report 04/25/2024

Yesterday Archaeology Okay, so, I’ve been going down this deep hole of archaeology. It’s honestly super interesting hearing about the techniques, the different principles, and the stuff they find. I really can’t describe just how awesome it is that archaeologists put so much information out there on the internet about their field. I also had the Jamestown Rediscovery Dig Deeper series playing for most of the day in the background while I worked on project stuff.…

An important cup of coffee/tea break

What? So I don’t have an actual term for this concept, other than it’s just a tea or coffee break. Basically, it’s the occasional moment to brew or get a cup of coffee or tea, maybe a little snack, and just take a moment to enjoy some time away from things (project, computer, etc.) Why? Personally, it just slows things down and resets my focus. Sitting on front of a computer screen, phone screen, or project documents for a long period of time is stressful and leads to errors.…

Random bits of 04/25/2024

Early day climb Yesterday I went to the bouldering gym to climb some V2s that have been on my mind all week. Managed to get one route through, but the other three are tricky. I feel like one of them is a dyno, and the other one is just at an angle that I’m not used to. The other one is slippery for me, and my overall strength on holding me up on it is a bit difficult.…

Random bits of the day (so far)

Breakfast Cooked up a hashed brown and sausage bowl, with caramelized onions, cheese, and a runny egg. It’s a typical breakfast specialty of mine. You can mix the runny egg throughout the dish and get a nice breakfast bowl going. Great for using spare veggies or meat from the bridge, plus it’s easy to cook in one pan. Some maybe climbs? Not sure if the bouldering gym is resetting routes still, I haven’t bothered asking or figuring that stuff out yet.…

Why travel hacking is dead

Travel hacking is dead, everyone is just paying full-price You know the glamour and the luxury of travel bloggers? The ones that constantly bombard you with articles and encouragement that you can also travel like them if you follow a few pieces of their advice? Yeah that’s bullshit and as an avid traveller I can tell you why. My experience I started traveling the world around 2014/2015 when I discovered FlyerTalk.…

What major would I choose, if given the choice again?

Theoretical question For those who went to college, if given the choice again what major would you choose? Knowing what you knew now? I always asked myself this question and the answers keep getting more clear as I discover/recover more of myself from the depths of darkness. The murkiness of my life throughout the years of covering up my true self because gender dysphoria and unknowing depressed state. So if given the choice again, what major would I consider?…

Went out for a climb, but there was none

Went for the climbs, but there were none I stepped out on a whim and drove down to my usual bouldering gym for a bit of climbing. I rarely went during peak hours so I was hesitant as-is. I round the corner, popped my head inside and people were crowded to a couple areas. Turns out the area where the routes I’d been planning to climb were being reset into new routes.…

Why I started learning a foreign language

I want to tell you the story of how and why I started learning a foreign language. Just a random bit of my history heavily summarized. My history with Swedish Back in 2013-ish I was (and still am) an avid Minecraft player. I’ve been playing since the early days of Alpha edition. I was also a part of multiple servers and a well-respected builder in those communities. A large chunk of my free time was Minecraft, so it was no wonder when I discovered the game is developed in Sweden, I immediately set my sights on learning a bit of it.…
