An important cup of coffee/tea break
What?
So I don’t have an actual term for this concept, other than it’s just a tea or coffee break. Basically, it’s the occasional moment to brew or get a cup of coffee or tea, maybe a little snack, and just take a moment to enjoy some time away from things (project, computer, etc.)
Why?
Personally, it just slows things down and resets my focus. Sitting on front of a computer screen, phone screen, or project documents for a long period of time is stressful and leads to errors. I might be so focused on working as an activity rather than the meaning. That moment to brew a cup of tea or coffee, waiting for it to cool down, and enjoying a delicious snack forces you to focus on something else with an extended amount of time.
Your mind can step back into your work with a fresh perspective because you aren’t buried in thoughts anymore, those are gone. Buried under the matrix of coffee/tea and food. I value having a fresh mind in the midst of work over the intense efforts of working. New perspectives and a fresh mind reduce errors and overlooking potential leads. That’s why my coffee/tea breaks are important for me.
